“You haven’t called me that since I got back.”
She looked defeated, like she was going to reply but couldn’t find the right words to shoot back with. She was angry, and hurt, and let down that things were not the same as she remembered.
“I grew up. I had to.”
“When the world crashes down, all I know is you.”
